Having added one grade per year since 2016, Legacy has 82 students in grades K-5.  The Legacy Board of Education is committed to the continued expansion of Legacy through the 12th grade.  Looking toward the future, our current 5th grade class will be seniors during the 2028-29 school year, and our first graduation will take place in May 2029.

Legacy Academy seeks a Head of School who is committed to the classical Christian model and shaping students’ affections toward truth, goodness, and beauty. The position starts in August 2022; some training may be required beforehand.

A qualified candidate would recognize the importance of school culture, and raising up children in the admonition of the Lord within a loving and vibrant community.

The responsibilities of Legacy’s Headmaster include but are not limited to the following: 1) Create and maintain a culture of cohesiveness and unity among our staff, parents and students. 2) Develop and retain donor relationships through a capital campaign that will help sustain the school long-term. 3) Assess and adjust Legacy’s financial model to establish a flourishing and vibrant community for years to come. 4) Guard and preserve the mission of the school. 5) Oversee any academic decisions that are made (such as faculty hiring, overseeing curriculum, expansion of classes and grades) within the school to ensure commitment to the classical Christian model and to Legacy’s Portrait of a Graduate. 6) Actively partake in strategic planning with the Board to advance Legacy’s involvement and contribution within the community of Branson.

Minimum Requirements:

Commitment to Christian living

Bachelor’s Degree

Education related supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working at a classical Christian school

Previous experience as a Headmaster/Head of School

Substitute Teachers
Candidates interested in substitute teaching must have a love of the Lord, a love for children, strong organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to problem-solve.  A Bachelor's degree or higher is required and 1 year of relevant classroom experience is preferred.
