Our preschool exists to provide a Christ-centered environment that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond. We believe each child is uniquely made by God and it is our desire to partner with parents in providing opportunities for children to learn of God’s love for them at a young age. Our entire staff—administrators, teachers, and support staff—love the Lord Jesus Christ and are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and loving environment which helps each child grow spiritually, mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically.
CURRICULUM
At Legacy Preschool we believe that our greatest charge is to train children to love God and to love others. In the classroom, our staff will guide your child as they learn to navigate friendships by taking turns, sharing, cooperating and managing disagreements.
We believe young children learn best through a day that is filled with structured and unstructured learning. If you were to walk into your child’s classroom at Legacy you may see him/her involved in:
- Guided Exploration and Discovery (aka: indoor and outdoor play)
- Music and Movement
- Stories and Drama (“Hear/Read/Tell”)
- Guided and Open-Ended Art Projects
- Recitation of Memory Verses
- Kindergarten Preparation Activities (aka: Colors, Shapes, Letters, Numbers, Name Writing…)
Enrollment process
If you are interested in hearing more about our program or adding your little one to our prospective student list, please call us at 417-336-2139. Our preschool admissions team will begin making calls in March to schedule family interviews and facility tours. You are welcome to call at any time to make sure you are still on our prospective enrollment list, update contact information, or terminate your spot on the list.

What does tuition cover?
Tuition covers all supplies and includes breakfast, lunch and a snack. If your little one is not potty-trained, you are required to provide diapers and wipes.
Do you have a part-time program?
We do not have a part-time program. However, if a parent wants to keep their little one home throughout the week, they are able to. Our fees do not change based on attendance and there is no required minimum attendance.
Does my child have to be potty-trained?
We do require students to be completely potty trained by the age of three. This means that they are able to communicate if they need to potty and are able to go in and potty independently. If they are turning three before January of that enrollment year, they must also be fully potty trained.
Are uniforms required?
Preschool does not require uniforms but we do have Legacy Cubs t-shirts available through Works of Art, click on the link below to see their selection:
